Conakry/Drinking water: Rotary Clubs Conakry and Ratoma come to the aid of schools and health centres in the outer suburbs
Conakry, Guinea. Major relief for the people of the capital's outer suburbs. The Rotary Clubs Conakry Doyen and Ratoma officially handed over three modern boreholes, a humanitarian initiative designed to strengthen direct and sustainable access to drinking water in densely populated areas. Target areas: Enta Sud, Dapompa Primary School, Gbessia Port 2 Health Centre.
This act of solidarity primarily benefits schools and the health sector. The new facilities directly serve pupils in the Enta Sud neighbourhood and Dapompa Primary School, as well as patients and healthcare staff at the Gbessia Port 2 Health Centre.
Held in a spirit of community commitment, the handover ceremony took place in the presence of the District Governor of Rotary International District 9101, who was on a working visit to Guinea. This initiative illustrates the organisation's determination to support health development and public hygiene in close response to local needs.
